Timothy “Tim” Houlihan, 69, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, following a brief illness.
He was born on September 18, 1956 to the late Terence F. and Anna J. (Woodruff) Houlihan in Houston, Texas. On February 22, 1992, he married Treva (Carpenter) Houlihan, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Jeffrey (Susan) Lockett, of Baytown, Texas, Clay (Kimberly) Lockett, of Texas, Molly Houlihan-Ladner; grandchildren, Mason, Grady, Mattis, and Maverick Lockett, Blaine Brantley Ladner; sisters, Terasee (Richard) Morris, of Weimer, Texas, Lisa (Billy) Chandler, of South Carolina; nieces, Hannah and Makayla Chandler; his beloved dog Casey, who misses him dearly; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his children, Kelly and Chris Houlihan.
After high school, Tim joined the United States Navy and worked as a gunner's mate from 1975 - 1977.
Tim was known as the “neighborhood grandpa” and loved spending time with his family, friends, and neighbors. He loved to make slushies and ran his own Hawaiian Shaved Ice business with his wife and would travel to different fairs and festivals. On Saturdays, Tim and Treva would volunteer at the homeless shelter making meals. He was a longtime member of Sunrush Church of Christ.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and a service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 12:00pm at Sunrush Church of Christ with a dinner to follow.
