Timothy Downs

Timothy L. Downs, 56, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly in his home Tuesday June 17, 2008. Funeral services will be held at Noon Friday, June 20, in the Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veteran Honor Guard will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 10am until Noon at Haller Funeral Home. Tim was born May 30, 1952, in Chillicothe to the late Bernard Wesley and Patricia Ann Boggess Downs. Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law Michael (Jackie) Downs; Brad (Missy) Downs, all of Chillicothe; Shane (Tina) Downs, of North Carolina; daughter Shelby Downs, Chillicothe; grandchildren: Joshua, Cameron, Landis, Travis, Marissa, and an expected grandson, Kayden; brothers James Downs and Kenneth (Robin) Downs; a sister Becky Graves; special friends Terry Hyde and Kathy Richmond; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his step-daughter Beth Ann (Rhinehart) Bishop; a brother-in-law Richard Graves; and a sister-in-law Echo Victoria Downs. Tim retired from the VA Medical Center in 1993, where he worked as a nursing assistant. He was a Vietnam Navy Veteran, was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended the Agape Church. The family would like to give special thanks to the Refuge Ministry for helping turn Tim's life around.
