Tiffany Leasure

Tiffany Jane Leasure, 37, of Chillicothe, passed away on June 7, 2021.

Born in Columbus, Ohio to Russell and Carolyn Swiggett (surviving). Tiffany was a miracle from the moment she took her first breath.  As an infant she overcame and defied all expectations, and this became a theme for the rest of her life as she excelled in school and career.  Becoming a nurse came naturally for her from age 13, when she cared for her maternal grandmother, Alice Huffman who had had terminal cancer and went on to care for numerous family members.  She started as PCA and then returned to nursing school.  After passing her State Boards, she worked on 3B, in the ER, as a SANE nurse (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) and most recently caring for Covid patients in their homes. Tiffany was a fierce and courageous advocate and caregiver for the most vulnerable as well as being devoted and loyal to her friends and family.  She was a mother-figure and mentor to many, especially to her niece and nephew.  Known for her quick wit and infectious laughter, Tiffany brought sunshine and joy everywhere she went. On February 8, 2019, she married her best friend and soulmate, Michael Leasure who survives with their four dogs.  She is also survived by her brother, Brian Swiggett, her sister in law and best friend, Bridget Swiggett, her nephew, Michael Swiggett, brother-in-law, Richard Leasure as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins, among her many relatives were three special relationships: her niece Katelynn Swiggett, her aunt, Peggy Watters and her cousin, Stephanie Auton.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bud and Josephine Swiggett, grandparents, Lum and Alice Huffman, uncles, Rick Swiggett, Ron Swiggett, Scott Conard, aunt, Susan Francis, and mother-in-law, Cathy Leasure.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Brad Catron officiating.  Burial will follow in Rowland Cemetery.  Friends may call 11:00 – 1:00 Tuesday at Haller's.
