Thomas Reid

Thomas Lee Reid, 68, of Chillicothe, died on Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born in Lancaster, Ohio on March 31, 1947, to the late John Harvey Sr. and Bertha Annice (Wilson) Reid. On September 25, 1969, he married the former June Lyster who survives. Also surviving are their three children, Kellye (John) White, of Clarence Center, New York, Tommy (Missy) Reid, of Corbin, Kentucky, and Kacey (Brian) McGough, of Hilliard, Ohio; four grandchildren, Garrett and Grayson White, of Clarence Center, New York, and Samantha and Elizabeth McGough, of Hilliard, Ohio; as well as four sisters, and four brothers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, and two brothers. In August of 1966, Thomas enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country for the next two years. Upon being honorably discharged from the military, he went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree and became a teacher; retiring from Vinton County High School in 2009. At the request of the family, no public funeral services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Haller Funeral Home.
