Thomas Moore

Thomas Moore, 61, of Oak Hill, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Chillicothe after a battle with lung cancer. Military graveside services, conducted by the United States Air Force Honor Guard will be held 11:00 am, January 16, 2008 in the Dayton National Cemetery, under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. Calling hours will not be observed. He was born on November 14, 1946, to David and Martha Moore in Oak Hill, Ohio. He graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1966. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He is survived by his mother Martha and sister, Jean Adkins, both of Oak Hill; son, Thomas Darin LeFever of Sugar Grove; daughter Michele (Vince) Messerly of Lancaster; grandchildren, Ryan, Richie, Stephen, Sarah and Devin; great-granddaughter, McKala; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, David William Moore; brother, David "Buck" Moore; and sister, Dorothy McCarty. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
