Thomas Hoyt Aldridge, 58, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, December 10, 2023 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born March 23, 1965 in Wisconsin, son of the late Finos Hoyt and Dora Mae (Bowling) Aldridge. On February 14, 1989, he married his beloved wife and best friend, Tami (Current) Aldridge who survives.
Also surviving is their son, Tommy (Makayla) Aldridge; two brothers, Doug Aldridge and John Aldridge; nieces, Lauren (Gabe) Gardiner and Mandy (Justin Lett) Storts; great-nieces and great-nephews, Evelyn, Ethan, Bentlee and Kynlee; his beloved cat, Boog; as well as numerous extended family members and close friends.
Tom worked as a prison guard at the Chillicothe Correctional Institute for more than 20 years before retiring. In an effort to fill his free time, he picked up part time work at Wagner's Roadhouse and most recently, the Pleasant Valley Shake Shoppe. He also had many hobbies which included hunting, fishing, watching the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his fun, loving nature, his kindness, as well as his love for a good prank. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home.
