Theresa Williams

The beautiful soul of Theresa Ellen (McCarty) Williams left this world suddenly and peacefully on Monday November 20, 2017 at 8:35am at Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.   She was born June 11 th , 1944 the daughter of Nelson Homer McCarty and Agnes McCarty (Fink) who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her stepson Shane Williams in July 2017 as well as a baby boy Dean Doyle Williams.   Surviving her are her husband of 36 years Dean Williams; her daughter Treva Willett, and son Jim Rhinehart all of Chillicothe, daughter Brandy (David) Chandler of Peebles, and stepson Christopher (Vicki) Williams of Conway, Arkansas; several grandchildren: Dylan, Kayla, Nicholas, Lily, Parker, Dakota, Joshua and Zane; great-grandchildren: Aubrey, McKinley, Silas, and Gabe; her mother-in-law Louise Williams; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who she loved dearly. She had an abundance of brothers and sisters whom she was always very close to. Surviving sisters are Bernadette "Bernie" Duty, and Jean Horn. Those who have passed on are William "Bill" McCarty, Pat McCarty, Elizabeth "Betty" Brundige, Kathleen "Dood" McNaughton, Rita Sanders, Rose Shoemaker, Bob McCarty, and Fred McCarty.   Theresa was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She always wore a smile even through the roughest times of her life. She was a very strong woman who taught her family more than she will ever know.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2pm Saturday at St. Peter Church, Rev. Sean Dooley, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-7pm at Haller Funeral & Crematory, where a wake service will be held at 7pm.
