On the early morning of June 27, 2023, Theresa Jean Wells passed from this life and into the waiting arms of her parents, John "Hub" Wright and Marie Snyder Wright, to whom she was born on August 6, 1951.
Along with Theresa's devoted husband, Robert K. "Bob" Wells, she is survived by her only sister, Sandie Wright Kelly, her brother and hero, John H. Wright II and wife, Kathy Bickle Wright, daughters, Pamela "Jeff" Disney, Laura (Wells) Johnson, Lisa "Brent" Barrows, 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, along with more nieces, nephews, neighbors, co-workers, friends, and in-laws than there is room to mention.
Pre-deceasing Theresa were her younger brothers, Harold Brent Wright, George David Wright, and Robert Alan Wright, nephew Joe Wright, niece Jennifer Wells, great-nephew Tyler Wright, and granddaughter Hannah Disney.
For over seven decades, Theresa lived a Life full of happiness, hard work and gratefulness, sharing it with those around her along the way. In 1969, she graduated from River View High School, where she was a member of the marching band. Immediately following graduation, she volunteered her service to the United States Army – Women's Army Corps and received training as an L.P.N. After Viet Nam, Theresa used her nursing training as an Emergency Room nurse at Coshocton Memorial Hospital.
It was in Coshocton where Theresa and her husband, Bob were married on Halloween of 1975, and where they chose to build a family. Together, Bob and Theresa built a legacy of faith, love, hope and strength which carries on beyond today.
Throughout her Life, Theresa's Spirit to do good was rarely dampened. Her heart and mind were constantly vigilant, ever-present and aware. Combined with her competitive nature, Theresa had no choice, it seemed, but to stay busy by any means. Theresa retired from the Postal Service where she was proud to be responsible, full-time for her own rural route. Even while she raised 3 daughters, sometimes by herself because Bob's military career had deployed him for service, she never let a moment of time be wasted.
She gave her all to be her best in everything she did. From birth until today, we see the evidence of her accomplishments. A piece of her heart went with each baby blanket, crocheted outfit, quilt, Christmas stocking, embroidered pair of jeans, hand-crafted bracelet, bead-embellished cross-stitch she ever made. Everything she gave you was given to you with love. To her, love was the only reason that she ever needed, and she gave it fully.
In recognition of Theresa's lifetime of love and achievements, the family invites you to join us for dinner on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Brookside Church from 2-4pm. This day will also mark her 72nd birthday and her brother John's 73rd birthday. Theresa hopes John will understand that she wouldn't have missed it for any other reason than God calling.
