Thadeus A. "Ted" Paskiewicz, 86, of Chillicothe, died at 11:40am Sunday, March 26, 2006, in Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following an extended illness. He was born May 31, 1919, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Andrew and Karolyina Stabryla Paskiewicz. On June 14, 1941, he married the former Clara Manski, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter Patricia Smith, of Illinois; daughter and son-in-law Sandra (Nelson) Wolfe, Chillicothe; son and daughter-in-law Ted (Bev) Paskiewicz, Jr., of South Carolina; daughter and son-in-law Michelle (Kelly) Free, of Tennessee; grandchildren Andrea (Bill) Frank; Alexa Smith; Stephanie (Jeff) Miller; Matt (Robin) Allen; Jake Boggs; Sage Paskiewicz; and Teri Watson; great-granddaughter Greta Miller; sisters Blanche, Helen, and Vera; and a brother Chester, all of Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by one sister and one brother. Following twenty years of service, Ted retired from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer, having served during WWII. He then became a teacher with the Vocational School System. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Flaget Council 1071, where he is a Past Grand Knight and was awarded Knight of the Year. He was also a member of the American Legion, Post 757. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Wednesday, March 29, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. James Black, Celebrant. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
