Tammi Lynn Richardson Sams, 54, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, March 14, 2025 at Hopewell Grove Nursing Facility, following an extended illness.
She was born September 28, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of the late Buford L. and Lennie E. (Sisk) Richardson. On September 30, 1998, she married her beloved husband, Brian Lee Sams, who survives.
Also surviving are her two beloved daughters, Michaela (Devon) Osborne, and Ashton (Maximus) Arledge; her sister, Sharon Richardson; her two nieces, Mecca and Kenya Richardson; as well as extended family members and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William A. "Skip" Smith, and her special aunt, Lynda Richardson-Hill.
Tammi was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, class of 1988. She worked as a server for Crispie Creme Donuts in Chillicothe for more than 20 years before retiring in 2013 due to her health. When she was well, she loved going swimming, taking spontaneous car rides, camping, and baking sweet treats. She also loved volunteering for the Ross County Humane Society and spending time with animals. She was known among her family and friends for never meeting a stranger. She had no issues making friends and wanted everyone to feel loved. She was the best wife, mother, sister, and friend that anyone could ask for. She will be deeply missed by all who had the chance to know her.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pamela Sheets officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday from 11:00am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home in her honor.
