Tamara Jo Conrad, 59, of Chillicothe, died 6:06 am, Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Ohio State University Medical Center, following an extended illness.
She was born February 12, 1962 in Chillicothe to Charles Roger Hammond and Sara Nusbaum. On July 17, 2004 she married Robert Conrad, who survives. In addition to her husband and her father, survivors include two sons, Michael Mick, Chillicothe and Chad Mick, Toledo; two grandchildren, Tyler Minkos and Mya Mick; a sister, Dee Dee (John) Crabtree, Chillicothe; her step-mother, Brenda Hammond; and four step-siblings, Hope Beverly, Faith Farley, Jeffrey Coyle, and Jackie Coyle. She was preceded in death by her mother, and a step-brother, Johnie Coyle.
Tammy retired as a nursing assistant in 2020 from the VA Medical Center-Chillicothe. She was a hard worker who loved to laugh and have a great time. She worried about others before herself and would always help if she could. She was a rock for many friends and family, but she also wore her heart on her sleeve and enjoyed expressing herself by writing poetry. She was sensitive, kind, and caring. One of the things she enjoyed the most was spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them. Family meant the world to her.
