Sylvia Barrow

Sylvia Ann Barrow, 87, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2023, in Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.     She was born in Cincinnati, OH to the late Chancey and Melba (Glandon) Scott.  On November 7, 1958, she married Donald R. Barrow, who survives.     Also surviving are their daughter Becky Rozell; son Gary Barrow, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Benjamin (Christina) Rozell, Bethany Rozell and companion Joe Peterson, and Christine Barrow; her brother and sister-in-law Donald (Susan) Scott, of Chillicothe; and a sister-in-law Patty Scott.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Debbie Barrow; son-in-law Aden Rozell; and brothers and sister-in-law James (Lenore) Scott and Edsel Scott.     Sylvia worked as a Registered Nurse at the VA Hospital prior to her retirement in 1992.  She attended Brookside CCCU and she loved spending time tending to her flower garden.     Her funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday, June 23, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, with Dr. Ralph Hux officiating.  Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm Friday at the funeral home.     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ross County Christian Academy, 2215 Egypt Pike, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
