Sue Osborn

Roberta Sue Osborn, 79, of Chillicothe, died August 18, 2023, at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

She was born June 4, 1944 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Robert and Virginia Conrad Heeb.  On June 10, 1984 she married Robert Osborn, who survives.  Also surviving are her children, Denise (Cihangir Calis) Bloomfield, London, OH, and Jennifer (Jeremy) Hurff, Chillicothe; step-children, Jennifer (Mark Provenzano) Osborn, Wexford, PA and Michael (Katy) Osborn, Springfield, OH; eight grandchildren, Matthew and Haylee Hurff, Grant and Caroline Osborn, and Alexis, Nicholas, Andrew and Anthony Provenzano; and a brother, William Heeb, Cincinnati, OH.  She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, James Bloomfield.

Mrs. Osborn was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, and received her Master's degree from the College of Mt. St. Joseph in Education.  She retired from the Paint Valley School District in 2002, where she taught First Grade and Title I Reading.  She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Trinity's choir, the Renaissance Singers, and the Chillicothe Civic Theatre, where she served as a Board Member for several years and was involved both on and off stage in numerous productions. She was honored with awards for Outstanding Actress, Outstanding Director, and The Robert Placier Service Award.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Pastor Wes Souders officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Friends may call 11:00-1:00 Monday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Chillicothe Civic Theatre, 83 S.
