Sue B. Brock

Sue B. (McCollister) Brock, 88, died peacefully of natural causes on November 2, 2025, in Corbin, KY. Sue was born February 12, 1937, in Chillicothe, OH to the late James C. and Alta (Dennison) McCollister.

Family that predeceased Sue were brothers: Wayne Shupe, Richard Dennison and Jack Shupe; sisters: Dorothy Hettinger and Nita McCollister; and her husband of 49 years, David J. “Jerry” Brock in 2006.

Surviving are two sons: David (Nancy) Brock, of Chillicothe; Patrick (Diane) Brock, of Corbin, KY; grandchildren: Christopher (Hilary) Brock, Nicholas (Jessica) Brock, Madelyn Brock, and Nolan Brock; and six great-grandchildren: Avery, Reghan, McKensie, Evelyn, Keegan and Lilianna.

Sue was an elementary teacher working in several local school districts before joining Jerry to work at the family business, Brock’s Fabrication and Welding. Sue was a long-time member of Walnut St. Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

Per Sue’s wishes, the family will observe a private graveside service under the direction of Haller Funeral Home and Crematory.
