Sue Bane

Sue Ellen Bane, 70, died at 10:04pm September 28, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born November 21, 1945, in Jackson, OH to the late W. Floyd and Zelma (Benson) Colley. On October 31, 1962, she married Thomas E. Bane, who survives. Also surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Thomas, Jr. (Sheila) Bane, Chillicothe; daughters and son-in-law Stacy (Scott) Kepler, Chillicothe, and Tracy (Jonathan Duke) Bane, Circleville; grandchildren: Taylor Newland, April Bane, and Autumn Kepler; great-grandchildren: Ashlyn Ratliff, Julian and Alyna Flissar and Jakob Smith; a sister Sidonna Crabtree, Jackson; brothers Joe (Wanda) Colley, Wellston and Terry (Debbie) Colley, Madison, AL; sisters-in-law Sandra Williams, Columbus and Kathleen Siders, Pataskala; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends Sylvia Combs, Efrain Hernandez, Alex Combs, Joanne Perkins and Twana Throckmorton. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Paul and Robert Dean Colley; a sister Dolores Hughes; and a niece Vicki Butterbuagh. Sue was a graduate of Jackson High School and worked as a bus driver for Unioto Schools for 24 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and candy making. Funeral services will be held at 6:00pm Monday, Oct. 3, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, with her brother, Pastor Terry Colley, officiating. Friends may call from 4pm-6pm Monday at Haller's. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Southern Ohio, 205 North St., PO Box 400, Lucasville, OH 45648.
