Styrk Walburn

Styrk Walburn, 69, of Chillicothe, died August 31, 2021 at Signature Healthcare of Chillicothe, following an extended illness.

He was born October 24, 1951 in Athens, OH to the late Joseph O. and Helen A. Day Walburn.  On April 28, 1971 he married Betty Zeisler Walburn, who survives.  Also surviving are three children, Elizabeth (Ron Nichols) Waller and James Walburn, of Chillicothe, and Emily (Kevin) McCloy, Frankfort; seven grandchildren, Molli and Madeline Waller, Hunter Cochenour, Caedynce and Sylas Walburn, Colton McCloy and Payton Hatfield; three siblings, Joseph (Elly) Walburn, Athens, Erich (Julie) Walburn, Ft. Mill, SC, and Gretchen (John) Lewis, Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind his beloved dog Lenore who was a big source of companionship and happiness.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Allison (Ron) Doughty.

Styrk was a Christian who served the Lord and was a member of Faith Chapel. He served in the US Army Reserves and received his Associates Degree from the Southeastern Business College.  He was a retail manager for the Sherwin-Williams Company.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Faith Chapel, 12913 Pleasant Valley Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
