Steven E. Riggin, 71, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, June 6, 2023, at the Adena Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 6, 1951, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Charles and Nancy Riggin. On February 17, 1973, he married his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Walker) Riggin, and together they shared over 50 years of marriage.
Surviving are their children, Brett M. (Amy) Riggin, Julie C. Riggin, and Steven C. (Gretchen) Riggin; grandchildren, Caleb A. Roach, Kayley A. Riggin, Lea M. Riggin, Hannah Riggin, Tyler Riggin, Lily Riggin, and Emma Riggin; numerous great-grandchildren; two siblings, Dan (Peggy) Riggin, and Joy (Tim) Davis; close friends, Donnie Nichols, Denny Dailey, and Albert Westrich; as well as numerous other extended family members and close friends.
Steve had a deep passion for music and loved to play the drums throughout much of his life. He also enjoyed being outdoors and loved to go fishing.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public calling hours. The family will announce a celebration of life service at a future date.
