Steven R. Pennington, 63, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly November 9, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center ER.
He was born May 29, 1961, in Cincinnati, OH, to Richard "Dick" and JoAnn (Knapp) Pennington. On September 9, 1994, he married the former Lisa J. Self, who survives.
In addition to Lisa, he is survived by his sons: TJ Leit and fiancée Kelly Sevier, Jason Pennington and David Lubis; several grandchildren, including Liam Leithart; a sister Leighann Martin; in-laws Johnny and Rob Self; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Dick and Sue Pennington; and JoAnn and Stan Martin.
Steve was a graduate of William Harry Harrison High School (Cincinnati) and worked for ODOT, District 9. He loved rock n' roll music of the 60's and 70's. Steve was an avid sports fan but especially enjoyed cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, November 15, 2024 in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cleves, OH.
