Steven Merritt

Steven Jeremy Merritt, 41, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly at his residence February 3, 2021.   He was born January 7, 1980 in Chattanooga, TN.  On May 14, 2014 he married Courtney R. Felts, who survives.  Also surviving are his parents, Steven (Venetia) Merritt, of Chattanooga and Patricia (Randall) Hunt Adams, of West Monroe, LA; four children, Torrance and Adelyn Miller and Rhett and Esther Merritt, at home; a brother, Justin (Rina) Merritt, of Cleveland, TN; a special grandmother, Barb Hunt; and a special aunt and uncle Rita and Rick Hirons.   Steven was a graduate and fan of the University of Tennessee.  He was a member of Scioto Lodge 6 F & AM, who will provide a masonic funeral service for him.   Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.  Cremation will follow.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Ross Co. Suicide Prevention Coalition, 394 Chestnut St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
