Steven Madru

December 17, 1957 — April 3, 2016

On April 3, 2016, our Heavenly Father sent angels down for his son, Steven Paul Madru, 58, of Londonderry, as he was surrounded by his wife and family. He was born December 17, 1957 the son of the late Charles B. and Nancy J. Travis Madru. On September 21, 2012 he married Theresa Nolan Madru, who survives. Also surviving is a son, James David (Beth) Madru and daughter, Brandi Marie Madru; a step-daughter, Janie Coonrod; grandchildren, Ricky, Randyn, Brantley, Ember Allona, and Paradise; a brother, David C. (Barbara) Madru; a sister, Linda C. (Roger) Gray; and numerous nieces, including a special niece, Judy Madru; several nephews, including a special nephew, Blake Madru; and special friends, Dave Simmons, Thelmer Johnson, Megan Fisher, and Tom Howell; and very special buddies, Queenie, Bo and Bo Jr. He was preceded in death by a brother, Junior; and two sisters, Barbara and Patricia "Petie." Steve worked most of his life as a roofer and painter. He enjoyed many things in life, including fishing, hunting, old black and white western movies, singing, dancing, and partying with family and friends. The family would like to thank Adena Hospice for their care. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. Sean Dooley, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, where a wake service will be held at 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society, 61 S. Paint St., Chillicothe, OH, 45601.
