Steven Blair

Steven C. Blair, 63, of Findlay, OH, left his pain behind and journeyed to a better place on Monday, January 25, 2010. He passed away at Blanchard Valley Hospital at 11:41am. He was born October 5, 1946, to the late Ovie Gene and Esther Virginia Caldwell Blair. In 1967, he married Elizabeth Collins. Although they divorced in 1979, they remained great friends. He is survived by his daughter Virginia Beth Blair, who blessed his life with grandchildren Bradley Knopps, Pell City, AL; Salina and Jesse Gomez and Jonah Blair, all of Findlay; his son and daughter-in-law Steven and Kristin Blair, Jr. blessed him with Preston and Natalie Blair and Cheyenne Beardsley, all of Findlay; his wonderful siblings brought so much joy to his life: brothers Jerrold Fisher, San Diego, CA; Robert E. (Sarah) Blair, Chillicothe, OH; sisters Janet Stansberry, Chillicothe; Lora Brady, Crestline, OH; Suzette Blair, Madisonville, KY; and Patsy Foe, Clarksville, KY; special in-laws Bill Stansberry, Sarah Blair, Perry Brady; and several nieces and nephews. His baby brother Johnny Blair preceded him in death. Steve was a hard working man formerly employed by Centrex Corp., Findlay; and by Wyn Molded Plastics in Circleville, OH and Leeds, Ala. He was a graduate of the former Centralia High School, Class of 1965. He loved to fish, woodworking and open-wheeled dirt track racing. He was a member of the Eagles, Aerie 600. He loved life despite his illnesses and surgeries. He never gave up and will always be an inspiration to everyone who crossed his path. If you are one of those people who were blessed to know him, please take his courage and determination and apply it to your life. "Never give up!" Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, January 29, in the Haller Funeral Home with Bill Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Carver Community Center following the committal. Friends and loved ones may call from 12-2pm Friday at Haller Funeral Home.
