Pastor Stephen A. Rinehart, 65, of Greenfield, has fought the good fight, has finished his course, and kept the faith, and received his Heavenly crown at 4:30am on January 26, 2023, at Mt. Carmel Hospital, Grove City, following a brief illness. He was born September 23, 1957, in Chillicothe, to the late Gilbert C. and Dorothy M. (Curtis) Rinehart. On October 27, 1975, he married the love of his life, Shelley, who survives. Also surviving are their children: Dave (Rebekah) Rinehart, of South Salem; Hannah Rinehart, of Greenfield; grandchildren: Grace, Amari, Brandi and Ceelann; his brother Jim (Sarah) Rinehart, of Sevierville, TN; half-siblings Carol Miner, Sharon Grubb, and Dora Rinehart. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Betty A. Gleason; and half-brother Gene Rinehart. Steve had dedicated his life to the Lord years ago. It became a passion of his to lead others to the Lord. His ministry took him to different churches in Ohio and Iowa throughout his vocation, which lasted for more than 34 years. Most recently, he pastored Bethel Chapel Church for the last 4 years. The funeral will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in South Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
