Stanley Nichols

Stanley Arthur Nichols Sr., 64, of Chillicothe, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Monday, October 8, 2018 at home.
He was born on November 4, 1953, in Londonderry to Herman and Mabel (Perkins) Nichols. On March 21, 1980 he married Vicki Neighborgal who survives.
Along with his wife of 38 years, he is survived by his father and step-mother, Herman Sr. and Kay Nichols; his brothers, Herman Jr. (Linda) Nichols, Steve (Kathy) Nichols, and Bruce (Jenny) Nichols; a sister, Kass (Billy) Alexander; his children, Angela Haines, Stanley Nichols Jr., Danny (Michelle) Hines, and Amanda (John) Foster; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; two uncles, Bill (Naomi) Nichols, and Bob (Rose) Nichols; as well as several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother Mabel Moran, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Blevins.
Stanley started out at Rubbermaid as a plastics engineer, he went on to Hoover Universal in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and then to Menasha Corp in Urbana. After retiring, he returned home to Chillicothe and did private security for HUD projects in Columbus. He was also a gifted leathersmith and gun enthusiast.
The family would like to thank Adena Hospice for taking such good care of him during his final days. We also want to thank our loving church family for their support and prayers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Walnut St. UMC where he was a member for 16 years. Pastor Joe Ziraldo will be officiating. Friends may join the family for a visitation from 12:30pm on Saturday until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Walnut St. UMC in his memory.
