Sonja Snyder

Sonja Ann (Poole) Snyder, 73, of Chillicothe, died peacefully at her home on March 11, 2015, following a year-long battle with cancer. She was born June 26, 1941 in Ross County, to the late John and Fern (Stratton) Poole. Surviving is her son, Michael Alan Snyder; a granddaughter, Tiffani Ann Snyder; and a brother, Johnny (Nonia) Poole; all of Chillicothe; her companion, Howard Neal French; former husband, Michael S. Snyder; a long-time friend, Dee Watkins; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Sonja was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended college at OU-C. She retired from Mead Paper Company after 30 years of employment. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Chillicothe Lioness Club, Garden Club, and a former member of the Cross Trailers Western Square Dance Club. Sonja also loved gardening and was an avid decorator. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public funeral services. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
