Sonja Baer

Sonja L. Baer, 66, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord Wednesday September 10, 2008 in Heartland Nursing Home following an extended illness. Graveside services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, September 27, 2008, in Huntington Memorial Cemetery with Pastor J. C. Collins officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. Sonja was born July 9, 1942, in Glen Allen, WV, to the late Harvey L. Washington and Amy Bell Lewis. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Richard (Crystal) Baer, Jr., of Chillicothe; daughter and son-in-law Cindy (Milton) Menear, of Londonderry; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister Sadie Hatfield, Kentucky; her longtime companion Earl Morrison, Chillicothe; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins including Linda Damron, of Kentucky; Roger (Nancy) Lewis, Kansas; and Patsy Shea; she was predeceased by a great-granddaughter; an infant son Kenneth Baer; 3 sisters; and a brother.
