Sondra Thompson

Sondra Kay Thompson, 63, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord 7:51 pm, Friday, November 6, 2015, at the Ohio State University Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born July 16, 1952 in Chillicothe to the late Edward L. and Sara E. Woodfork Lynch Sr. On May 9, 1980 she married William E. Thompson, who survives. Also surviving is her daughter, Jenise (Josh Case) Lynch and her son, Charles R. (Stephanie Felts) Lynch, both of Chillicothe; stepchildren, Carlos Donta Thompson and Ladana Thompson; a sister, Joy (Shabazz Samuel) Lynch, of Columbus; two brothers, Edward L. (Janelle) Lynch Jr., of Columbus and Roderick Jay (Kimberly) Lynch, of Chillicothe; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Rev. William (Victoria) Lynch and James E. (Deanna) Lynch. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Greater Grace Temple, Springfield, OH and New Life Christian Church, Chillicothe. She enjoyed making soap and other crafts. She also enjoyed cooking for family and reading. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Pastor Clifford Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 11-1 Thursday at Haller's.
