Sondra Kay Hall

Sondra Kay (Richardson) Hall , 78 of Chillicothe went to be with the Lord at 8:26 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, following an extended illness.

She was born January 15, 1948, in Ross County, to the late Harry and Grace (Steward) Richardson. On August 27, 1966, she married Perry R. Hall, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Yvonne) Hall of Chillicothe, Krista Howell of Hilliard, and Justin Hall of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Lauren, Brian, Keegan, Cameron, Justin, Jaiden, Kennedy; great grandchildren, Kali, Jalen, Nolan, Quinton, Delilah, Remington; Sister, Bonnie Nixon of Canal Winchester, Kyra (Mark) Brown of Chillicothe, Lara Benson of Columbus, Kathy Mickey of Washington Court House; Brother, James Richardson of Cincinnati, Elvin Mickey Jr. of Chillicothe; several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Judy Cousins, mother- in-law, Rosetta Mickey, father-in-law, Elvin Mickey; sister-in-law Janice Scott, Tanya Cousins, Virginia Richardson, brother-in-law Chris Mickey, Toney Hall, Robert Scott Sr., nephew Tony Cousins; special friends Cheryl Hitchens and Brenna Adkins.

She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was employed by PPG, WearEver, Chillicothe Board of Education and Chillicothe Country Club. She served on the Board and Judges Chair for Miss Ohio in addition, to Miss America prep committee, she was a dedicated lifelong member of Zion Baptist Church, where she wore many hats and faithfully served in various capacities until her illness.

Sondra will be deeply missed by her family and friends and lovingly remembered for the life she shared with those around her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace with the Lord.

The family will receive friends at Zion Baptist Church, 84 S Clinton Road, Chillicothe on Friday, October 23 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 10:00 am until the start of the Funeral Service at 11:00am, followed by burial at Greenlawn Cemetery.
