Simplicio Y. Palisbo, 86, of Chillicothe, died at 6:15am March 12, 2014, at Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. He was born March 16, 1927, in the Philippines to the late Domingo and Casiana (Yungao) Palisbo. On November 4, 1954, he married the former Petronila C. Teleron, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law Sonia Dennewitz; Sericia (Valvis) Tinsley; Sylvia (Kevin) Ramsey; his son and daughter-in-law Elmer (Vicky) Palisbo, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Misty Dennewitz, Michelle (Lee) Shackleford, Mark Flury, Kaleb Ramsey, Kyrill Ramsey, Mhervie (Davon) Barreto and Vinz Palisbo; 5 great-grandchildren; and two sisters Apolinaria Bualat and Perpetua (Heminiano) Limbaroc. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 3 brothers, a sister and his son-in-law James Dennewitz. Sim earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He retired as an office administrator from the City of Pagadian, Philippines. After relocating to the United States, he worked for and retired from the Social Security Administration. He was a member and Fourth Degree Knight with the K of C and a member of the Legion of Mary, both in the Philippines. He was also a member of St, Peter Catholic Church, Chillicothe. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved life and enjoyed music. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday, March 17, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. William Hahn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Family and friends in attendance are invited back to St. Peter Parish Hall for a luncheon following the committal. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7pm at Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 7pm.
