Shirley C. Shaw, 69, of Chillicothe, died at 8:38 a.m. on Saturday July 14, 2012 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born April 12, 1943 in Orr, Kentucky to the late William J. and Zelda (Edwards) Blevins. On January 24, 1962 she married Ralph D. "Pete" Shaw, who preceded her in death February 1, 2006. Surviving are her sons, Ralph Shaw and William (Alisa) Shaw; daughters Peggy Bellar, all of Chillicothe, and Debbie (Kenny) McQuaide, of Kingston; Grandchildren Kala (T.J.), Tina, and Allen Shaw; Robert (Parker), James (Whitney), and Jason Bellar; Step-Grandchild Jamie; Great- Grandchildren Klayton, Destiny, Aubrey, and Emily Bellar; Step-Great-Grandchildren Alexis, and Ava McQuaide; and Jayden, Brandon, and Addisyn; her sister Shelley Ann (Danny) Brown of Beaver; brothers Lester Blevins of Waverly, and Jeff Blevins of Springfield. She was predeceased by her sisters Vena Faye, Shelby Anderson; brothers Sylvester, William Jr., James, and Leslie Blevins. Shirley worked at the Shoe Factory, Mills Pride, Meals on Wheels, and retired in 2006 from Showa Aluminum. She loved the outdoors, flower gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday July 18, 2012 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Huntington Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00-1:00 Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home.
