Shirley Bolte

Shirley L. Bolte, 77, of Londonderry, died at 2:45am June 25, 2016, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC, following a brief illness. She was born February 9, 1939, in Ross County to the late Alvin T. and Lorraine E. (Holbrook) Park. On July 9, 1957, she married Vernon "Butch" Bolte, who preceded her in death on April 3, 2008. Surviving are her sons James A. Bolte, Londonderry, Scott Alan (Stacy) Bolte, Hamden; daughter-in-law Kelly (Mark) Bolte Duffy, Chillicothe; grandchildren: Christopher Lee (Angela) Bolte, Patrick James Bolte and his fiancée Reina Moore, all of Chillicothe, Benjamin Michael Bolte, Autumn Isabel Bolte, Jessica Elise Bolte, all of Londonderry, Rachael Elizabeth Bolte, Chicago, IL, Kathryn Nicole Bolte and Thomas Hugh Bolte, both of Chillicothe; step-granddaughter April Thompson, Hamden; great-grandchildren Bradly Eugene and Noah Lee Bolte, both of Chillicothe; brothers Charles "Ronnie" Park, James A. (Beverly) Park, Kenneth Park and Richard (Sue) Park; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son Vernon "Butchie" Bolte II. Shirley was a graduate of Southeastern High School, Class of 1957, and was a member of the Londonderry United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, July 2, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, with Rev. Gerald Mershimer officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8pm at Haller's. Shirley said, "Following the committal, all are welcome to drop by the Bolte home and gossip about me one last time."
