Shelba Jean Kellough, 78, of Chillicothe, passed away early Friday morning, November 10, 2017, at her home, following an extended illness. She was born in Jackson, Ohio on April 7, 1939, to the late Robert and Vada (Crum) Grow. On November 21, 1955 she married Carl J. Grubb, who preceded her in death on October 14, 1992. Surviving are their children, Carl Jack (Jackie) Grubb, Jr., of Chillicothe, Alan D. Grubb, of Waverly, Jenny (Jeff) Arrowood, of Waverly; Connie (Mark) Oliveaux, of Canyon Lake, Tx; and Tina S. Hollis, of Waverly; her grandchildren, Jacinda (Jessica) Grubb, Courtney Jenkins, Sarah (Matthew) Kidwell, Deric (his fiancé Katlin) Lamerson, and Cory Hollis; two great-grandchildren, Carter J. and Carlee S. Grubb; two sisters, Mabel Reese and Hope Lewis; a special niece, Pam Skaggs; her good friend, Glenn Congrove; several nieces and nephews, and her very special kitty, Frisky. In addition to her parents and husband Carl, Jean was preceded in death by an infant daughter, her two brothers, Paul and Charles Grow, a sister, Eveyln Morris, her second husband, Donald Kellough, and her sister-in-law and best friend, Jean E. Kellough Jean was a homemaker for her entire life and took great pride in raising her family. Her greatest joys were hosting family gatherings and talking with anyone she met about her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a former member of Mt. Tabor Community Christian Church, where she attended for many years before her failing health prevented her from going. She was an avid Ohio State Football Buckeyes fan and rarely missed watching a game. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public services. A private graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery, Waverly, will be held at the convenience of the family.
