Shawn Michael Young, 45, of Chillicothe, passed away at home, following an extended illness.
He was born January 18, 1979, in Chillicothe, Ohio to his father, Rickey Ray Young, Sr., and his mother and step-father, Becky Ann (Richard) Graves.
In addition to his mother Becky, and his father Rickey, he is survived by his brothers, Rickey Young, Jr., and Adam (Jennifer) Young; his nieces and nephews, Quinton Ray Cydrus-Young, Parker (Jadlyn) Wesley Young, Caden Andrew (Chloe) Young, and Emma Alexandria Young; great-niece and great-nephew, Emberlyn and Zeke; his paternal grandfather, Herbert R. Young; uncles, James Wesley Downs, Kenneth Lee (Robin) Downs, and Tim Lloyd Downs; as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, and close friends. In addition to his step father Richard, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bernard Wesley Downs and Patricia Ann (Boggess) Downs; and paternal grandmother, Donna Jean Young-Butcher.
Shawn was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, class of 1997.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00pm. Private graveside services at Hallsville Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the funeral home to assist the family.
