Shawn Michael Urschel, 51, of Waverly, died Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born April 1, 1970 in Marietta, OH to Louis and Sheila Perry Urschel, who survive, of Marietta. On October 14, 2000 he married Debra G. Roby Urschel, who survives. Also surviving are 3 step-daughters, Jessica (Tim) Members, and Jennifer and Julia McDaniel; 2 siblings, Shannon (Shawn) Ball and Shelley (Scott) Armstrong; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Arthur Perry and Myrtle and Louis Urschel, Sr.
Shawn was an electrician, and truly loved spending time outdoors and with all of his friends. He will be deeply missed by these "brothers" he had in his life.
Following cremation, his memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 2, 2021 in Putnum Cemetery, Devola, Washington Co., OH. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ross Co. Humane Society, 2308 Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
