Sellers Rhymer

Sellers "John" Ossel Rhymer, 92, of Chillicothe, died 2:32 am, September 20, 2018 at his residence, following a brief illness.
He was born April 20, 1926 in Lake City, FL to the late Raymond and Organ Robinson Rhymer. On February 22, 1947 he married Millie Ratzlaff, who died November 20, 2002. Survivors include a son, Steve (Connie) Rhymer, of Chillicothe and a granddaughter, Sherri Rhymer, of Wellston. He was preceded in death by numerous siblings.
Mr. Rhymer was a self taught carpenter, building his own home, and several other structures. He was a US Navy World War II veteran. He loved working and spending time in his yard. He worked in roadway construction and retired from Ratlaff Construction in 1992.
Private graveside services were held in Grandview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to National Church Residences-Hospice, 142 University Dr., Chillicothe, OH 45601 or the Ross Co. Humane Society, 2308 A Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
