Saundra "Sue" (Walsh) Ison, Age 70, of Ray, went home to be with Lord Saturday, January 4,
2025, at the Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born July 6, 1954 in Chillicothe, to the
late Jerry and Emma "Brownie" (Burley) Walsh. On January 5, 1974 she married Garland
"Buzz" Ison who preceded her in death on September 17, 2010.
She is survived by two children, Jonathan (Tina) Ison and Mandi Coleman; two precious
granddaughters, Olivia and Meranda Coleman; five step grandchildren Ryan (Latoshia) Beatty,
Mikah Beatty (EJ), Stephanie (Troy) Cox, Shellsea Beatty, and Chance Beatty; her great
grandson, Archer Gray; and thirteen (step) great grandchildren, Jaeden, Quin, Kaymun, Kasum,
Gabriel, Travis, Qortez, Jersey, Tyleah, Christian, Henry, Gracie and Miles; sister in law Joyce
Walsh; best friend Peggy Greene; nieces Lori (Eric) Starkey, Julie (Bill) Holt; nephews David
(Angie) Walsh, James (Keiko) Walsh; and many who cared about her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; mother-in-law, Ada L. Ison; two brothers,
Jerry (Ann) and William "Bill" Walsh; niece Debbie Mead; and best friend Linda Bradley.
Sue graduated from Southeastern High School in 1972, attended church at Goshen Run Church
of God in Ross County, and was always willing to help others. She loved going antique shopping
and working outside with her flowers. She loved being a grandma and mamaw and spent endless
hours at sporting events and concerts supporting them. She enjoyed spending time with friends
and family and cooking or baking for everyone constantly.
Services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Haller Funeral Home in Chillicothe,
Ohio. The viewing will be held 11am-1pm with the service following at 1pm with Pastor Tim
Wyman officiating. Burial to follow at Londonderry Cemetery.
