Sarah Russell

Sarah R. Russell, 70, of Chillicothe, died peacefully at 2:31 am, Sunday, January 6, 2013, at the Ohio State University Hospitals, following an extended illness, surrounded by her husband and children. She was born November 29, 1942 in Kingston, OH to Clarence A. and Helen Beavers Donahue. On November 4, 1960 she married Paul Russell, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Julie (Terry) vonClausburg, Highlands Ranch, CO and Lincoln (Brenda Kohta) Russell, of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Stephen, Eric and Lauren vonClausburg; a brother, Clarence E. (Gene) Donahue, of Chillicothe; sisters, Cecelia (Dennis) Moore, of Winterhaven, FL and Nancy Warner, of Columbus, OH. She was preceded in death by her mother, a brother-in-law, Charles Warner and a sister-in-law, Darlene Donahue. Mrs. Russell had a long career with the Mead Paper Co. and retired in 2001 from the Chilpaco Human Resources Department. She was a member and past officer of the Chillicothe Evening Lioness Club and enjoyed her family, pets, and OSU football and basketball. The family would like to thank Dr. John Gabis, of Chillicothe, and Dr. Namita Sood, of the OSU Wexner Medical Center and their staffs for their care and attention over the past three years. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Wednesday at Haller's.
