Sandra K. Murphy, 60, of Chillicothe went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday morning, December 16, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. She remained strong and never lost her spirit. Sandy was born in Chillicothe on July 6, 1950 to the late Fred L. Krider, Sr. and Freda E. (Hiles) Krider, who survives. Sandy grew up in Chillicothe alongside her six siblings: Susan Taylor of Columbus; Fred L. Krider, Jr.; Mark Krider; Jeff Krider; and Mary Beth "Meb" Dalton, all of Chillicothe. Sandy married Daniel R. Murphy in 1969 and they raised their two children: Karen Murphy and Dr. Robin (Eric) Rippeth, both of Chillicothe. She had three beloved grandchildren Justin Richmond, and Halle and Ezra Rippeth. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Dennis (Cathy) Murphy; Molly (Gary) Manring; Mary Brandum, all of Chillicothe; and Melinda (Bob) Hamilton, of New Smyrna Beach, FL. She loved her work as a teacher at Southeastern School district where she has taught third grade since 1984. She enjoyed her students and all of her co-workers who were also her dear friends. She attended Real Joy Community Fellowship. Funeral services will be held at 6:00pm Tuesday, December 21, in the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Lambert officiating.
