Sandra Stone-Dalton

Sandra "Sam" Lee Stone-Dalton passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024.  Sam was born on March 14th, 1950, in Newark, OH to the late Harold and Shirley (Kirk) Stone.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Diggs Dalton, children, Jennifer and Jessica Dalton, grandchildren, Xavier Williams, Rahmya Williams, Sam Stewart, Reese Dalton, and Rowan Dalton, siblings, John Stone, Vera Stone, Dave Stone, and Chris (Rhonda) Stone, and niece, Hannah Stone, and nephews, John Kirk Stone, and Jayden Stone, as well as many other family and friends.

Sam is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ethel Kay Stone.

She was an avid gardener who had a natural way with flowers and design, loved cooking which came to her naturally, she enjoyed her time travelling with Diggs. Sam was proud to be a part of the crew that started up the Cross Keys in Chillicothe and loved her time working at Hoover Gardens in Westerville. Sam graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Physical Education.

A Celebration of Sam's Life will be held at the Haller Funeral Home in Chillicothe, on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 1:00 pm followed by burial at Grandview Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Sunday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
