Samuel Withrow

Samuel Leroy Withrow, 79, of Chillicothe passed from this life at 8:55 p.m., December 8, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born August 21, 1943, at home, to the late Harry Sr. and Alice (Kelley) Withrow. On May 29, 1980, he married Sandra L. (Stinson), who survives. Surviving are children, Steven (Joy) Withrow Sr. of Zanesville, Penny (Steve) Withrow of Chillicothe, Miranda (David) Smith of Waverly, Amy (Robert) Withrow of Burlington Kentucky and Timothy (Renee) Withrow of Beaver; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sisters, Jo Tinker and Cynthia Withrow both of Chillicothe and brothers Mike Withrow of Chillicothe and Virgil (Linda) Withrow of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Sam was predeceased by a son, Jesse Stinson, a daughter Alicia Bennett. He was also predeceased by his former wife, Virginia (Blanton), 8 brothers and 6 sisters.
Sam was a beloved teacher and coach at Huntington High School, where he taught English and Drama for 18 years. He loved spending time with his family in his retirement, especially playtime with the babies of each new generation. He was loved by so many people and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2022, at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call at Haller's from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
