Sally Lemley

Sally M. Lemley, 89, died at 1:00am January 15, 2019, at Signature Healthcare following an extended illness.   She was born September 13, 1929, in Hattiesburg, MS, to the late Willie and Lillie Mae (Hand) Moye. Mrs. Lemley was the widow of Donald E. Lemley, who preceded her in death on December 28, 2012.   Surviving are her children: Alan Lemley, of Chillicothe, Cheryl Lemley, Columbus, Donna Avery, Blacklick, OH, Brenda Lemley, Cincinnati, and Apryl Ashburn (Mark Dewberry), Gahanna; grandchildren: Raymond Pollard, Nikki Pollard, Alan Lemley II, Timothy Wingo, Chantelle Wingo, Jon Anderson, Michael Smith, Jr., Nakia (Scott) Bush, Latoya Lemley, Chanice Lemley, Brandon Ward, Julian Ashburn, Apryl Jacoby Ashburn, and Timiya Ashburn; 26 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Alvin Pollard; and sisters Willie Pearl Donald and Dorothy Miller.   Mrs. Lemley was a long-time member of First Baptist Church. She loved caring for not only her children, but all children.   Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, January 22, at the First Baptist Church, 65 W. Fourth St., with Pastor Eric Carson officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from Noon until 1pm Tuesday at the church.
