Sarah Kathryn Smith, 83, of Chillicothe, died at 4:10am, January 1, 2010, in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. She was born April 28, 1926, in Pike Co., OH, to the late Lewis H. and Florence Davis Smith. Survivors include a niece Linda Basanta, of Staten Island, NY; a special cousin Karl F. (Mary) Davis, Chillicothe; friends Antonio Gonzales, New York; Wayne (Anita) Scott, Orient, OH; and many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen L. Smith; and two brothers Lewis Henry Smith and Warren Smith. Sarah Kathryn was a member of the Floral Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, January 7, at the Haller Funeral Home, with Pastor James Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon, OH. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7pm at Haller Funeral Home.
