Ruth Alice Powell (Alice), 65, of South Salem, Ohio, passed peacefully Monday, March 25, 2019, at 09:54 pm at Riverside Methodist Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born June 03, 1953 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Billie Clark, and Ruth Clark.
Alice is survived by her only son Rocky Powell, of Chillicothe; her grandchildren Jesse (Becky) Powell, of Chillicothe; Halee (Nathan) Hitch, of Chillicothe; Anthony Blankenship, of Chillicothe; three great-grandchildren Robert Blankenship, of Chillicothe, Leann Lowe, of North Vernon, Indiana; Sage Powell, of Chillicothe; her sister Ladonna (Trent) Sullivan, of Chillicothe; her nephew Daryl (Olivia) Sullivan and several close friends.
Alice was employed at Twin Dairy for many years until she retired in 2018. She had a beagle named "Lovey" who she loved deeply and spoke of often. Alice had a special bond with her grandson, Jesse and loved spending time with him. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed going shopping for candles and stopping at yard sales.
She will be remembered for her kind, loving heart for animals and her sense of humor.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haller Funeral Home, by mail or at the DONATE FUNERAL FUNDS link above.
