Ruth Ann McCloskey,89, of Chillicothe, got her wings and went to walk with the angels on September 21, 2022 following an illness. Ruth was born on March 9, 1933 in Chillicothe, to the late Robert Frederick Schumann and Pauline (Betz) Schumann. She was preceded in death by four infant children, two brothers: Paul Joseph Schumann and Frederick (Mary Lou) Schumann; a sister: Bobbie Schumann; and by the love of her life and husband Ronald M. McCloskey. Ronald and Ruth were married on October 4, 1956. They would have been married 62 years until he passed on August 20, 2018. Ruth is survived by her son Mark (Sheryl) McCloskey; two grandchildren Mitchel (Tiffany) McCloskey and Chelsie McCloskey; four great-grandchildren Abbigail, Mason, Layla, and Logan; the mother of her two grandchildren Kellie McCloskey; her sister Mary (Harold "Pete") Strawser; three brothers: Michael (Cheryl) Schumann, Martin "Tony" (Charlotte) Schumann, and Bernard (Denise) Schumann; a sister-in-law Lola Schumann; and numerous other relatives and friends. Ruth, also known as Gran, was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved nothing more than seeing all her "kids." Ruth was known for throwing some of the biggest family gatherings and focused her entire life around the people she loved. She also loved being a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. There will forever be a void in the lives of the many people she touched but a reassurance that she is with the love of her life again. Wait for us on the other side Gran. Forever missed and forever loved. Until we meet again… The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am October 8, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
