Ruth Madden

Ruth L. Madden, 88, of Kingston, died at her residence August 11, 2020.   She was born February 6, 1932, in Ross County to the late Joseph and Leora (Smedley) Knox. On August 6, 1955, she married Elmer W. Madden, who preceded her in death May 31, 2003.   Surviving are her son Michael Madden, of Washington Court House, OH; daughter and son-in-law Victoria (Michael) Hodge, of Leesburg; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and her brother and sister-in-law Lawrence (Virginia) Knox, of Chillicothe. She was predeceased by brothers Eugene, Shirley "Pete" and James Knox.   Mrs. Madden was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed flowers of all types, playing bingo and listening to Blue Grass music. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.   At her request, private services will be held under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.
