Ruth Holz

Ruth Ann Holz, 77, of Londonderry, died at 2:21pm Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born October 29, 1937, in Vinton County, OH, to the late James E. and Ella M. (Young) Collins. On September 10, 1955, she married Robert W. Holz, who preceded her in death June 11, 2011. Surviving are their children: Mike Holz, Londonderry; Mary (David) Greeno, Clarksburg; Ann (Bill) Vier, Aurora, CO; James (Vicky) Holz, Clarksburg; and Paula (Mamdouh) Khallil, Westerville; grandchildren: Jason (Abigail) Greeno; William Vier; Tyler Holz; great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Madison, Quinnten and Owen; nieces: Theressa, Isabelle, Ella Mae and Shari; and a nephew Jeff. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister Barbara; nephews Kevin and Sammy; and an infant grandson. Ruth was a graduate of Allensville High School. She retired from Wal-Mart in 2006 where she worked as a cashier. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church; Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 600; life-member of the AMVETS, Post 4; and the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 62. Ruth loved playing golf. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am, Tuesday, August 11, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ross Co.
