Ruth Lorraine Cottrill, 75, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
She was born June 16, 1943 in Louisa, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Arnold and Ruth (McKenzie) Holt. On June 11, 1971, she married William Ernest Cottrill, and together they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage.
Ruth retired as a school teacher after 30 years of employment. In her free time, she enjoyed playing piano, watching soap operas on television, and reading. She loved all kinds of animals, but she especially loved her poodles.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ross County Humane Society in her honor.
