Ruth Ballard

Ruth A. Ballard, 76, of Frankfort, passed away while surrounded by family on Friday April 4, 2014, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.   She was born June 29, 1937, in Akron, OH to the late Earl and Mary (Ethling) Stout.   She was the widow of Guy E. Ballard, Sr., who preceded her in death on April 15, 2001.   Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law Kathleen Ballard; Deborah (Dale, Sr.) Redding; son and daughter-in-law Guy E. (Susan) Ballard, Jr. all of Frankfort; grandchildren: Amy (Brian) Landrum, Alayne Blackstone, Dale Redding, Jr., Aubrey Redding, Nelson Ballard, and Rachel Ballard; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers.   She was predeceased by his parents and her husband.   Ruth enjoyed sewing and gardening.   At her request, a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.   Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
