Russell Fisher

Russell A. Fisher, 94, of Chillicothe, died 4:51 am, Monday, January 31, 2011, at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born May 6, 1916 in Clermont Co. to John and Emma Fisher. On August 6, 1965 he married the former Mary Jane Landrum, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Suzanne (Darrell) Lechner and Michael (Phyllis) Ackley, both of Chillicothe; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Janet Ackley. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Ackley. Mr. Fisher was a World War II Army veteran and retired from Chilpaco in 1980 following over 28 years of service. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at Floral Hills Memory Garden. Calling hours will not be observed.
