Roy Smith

Roy Otis Smith, 89, of Chillicothe, died 12:38 am, Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at his home.   He was born November 29, 1928 in Ray, OH to the late Rodney G. and Edna E. Wilt Smith.  In 1954 he married Shirley Ann Leffler Smith, who died July 20, 1994.  Survivors include three children, Leesa (Bruce) Beezley, Hesperia, CA, Steve (Shahin) Smith, Chillicothe, and Mike (Cindy) Smith, San Juan Capistrano, CA; seven grand-children; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph Smith, of Chillicothe.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry (Glenn) Spangler; a sister, Ruth Murray; and a nephew, Gary Murray.   Mr. Smith was US Army veteran and an assembly line worker for General Motors.  He later was a mechanic for Mitsubishi Motors, boarded horses on his ranch, and was an independent consultant delivering recreational vehicles all over North America.  Roy enjoyed gardening and exercising, and was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God.   A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Haller Funeral Home.
