Roy Keith Coder, Jr.

Roy Keith Coder, Jr., 48, of Chillicothe, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 at his home.

He was born April 10, 1977, son of Roy Keith Coder, Sr., and Matilda Kay (Nolan) Phillips.

Roy is survived by his son, Ethan (Emma Corcoran) Coder; his mother, Matilda (David) Phillips, his father, Roy (Cathrine) Coder, Sr.; his brother, Aaron (Alisha Beatty) Coder; step-siblings, Joe (Akira Arrowood) Phillips, Sara Creed, and Joseph Sousa; his niece, Kendra (Austin) Broughton; great-niece, Maci Broughton; the mother of his son, Leanna Rood; best friend and cousin, Brian Stewart; close friends, Steve Quillen, Adam Route, Dennis Miller and Mark Miller; as well as many beloved extended family members and friends.

Roy was a graduate of Huntington High School, class of 1995. He loved spending time with his son and his friends, playing his guitar, and riding his Go-Karts. He was very proud of his minibike he had been building with his Dad and was excited for the progress they had made. Roy loved being close to his Mama, and he also loved his fur babies, Bella, Rocky, and Cat.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Haller Funeral Home, with Chaplain Paul Girdley officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the funeral home.
